Food Science Club
Even if you have never been a joiner, you will want to join the Food Science Club.
Why join? Because the art of interacting with your fellow students, just as you will interact with your business colleagues after graduation, is one of the most important benefits of participating as a club member.
You will be engaged in all sorts of interesting activities like production of delicious olallieberry jam, sold at Cal Poly's Campus Market. Members participate in Homecoming and Open House; interact with speakers from industry; and attend off-campus professional meetings. And, if that isn't enough, the club officers (which you will want to become in your junior or senior year) plan social gatherings, including the end-of-the-year banquet.
Being in the club is a key part of your experience as a Food Science major and helps develop the talents and skills you'll need to be a leader once you leave Cal Poly. Nutrition Club
The Nutrition Club is an excellent group for students involved or interested in the nutrition field.
The club provides a great social network for students to meet each other and participate in social events. There are lots of volunteer opportunities for students to get hands-on learning experience in the food and nutrition industry.
Our meetings feature professional speakers who provide information about internships, job opportunities, and updates on nutrition research and developments. Members of the Nutrition Club have a chance to learn about what is going on in the field of nutrition, make networking connections and find an excellent group of friends.

Global Food Taster's (formerly Culinary Careers) is the newest in our department.
The Global Food Tasters Club will provide Cal Poly with a new way of exploring and enhancing student's communication skills through a creative outlet which is accessible to all Cal Poly students and staff. The club will also offer students a way to gain food knowledge as well as the opportunity to interact with other members of the Cal Poly community who share the same interests. Global Food Tasters Club helps bridge students from a variety of colleges and majors with the common enjoyment of food and cultures.

Fair Trade Club
We are a group of college kids who care about the earth and the people who live on it. We focus on educating our school and local community about environmental and social injustices. By doing this, we hope to inspire and empower ourselves and others to bring about change in our food system.
